| Flaring exercises, the fishes are always darting and flaring around in the bottles, all are extremely alert and quick. It was a pleasure to watch such mesmeric movements.We left Sungei Tengah with some fishes and felt more refreshed.There are a number of betta farms in Singapore,but not many specialises in the fighting strain. Many Singaporeans have grown to detest fish fighting and the government is phasing out farm lands for non agricultural uses, there will be fewer fighter farms. We hope it is not a dying trade, where we have to depend on imports.By then we would have lost a heritage. Thanks. |
