Mr.Chen, a 57 year old BunTong New Village resident has been breeding fighting splendens for well over thirty years. He is a mechanic by day and breeds fighting splendens in his spare time.

Together with several old village residents, they pull their resources together to set up 200 over ponds dedicated to the breeding of fighting splendens.

They are a group of experienced and skillful breeders in BunTong. Fighters from their "Jia Kang" (Best Spawn) are sold for a minimum of RM$30.00 each.

In his memory it was not easy to acquire quality stock fish when he first started, much effort, financial resources and perseverance were required. Only champion fighters were selected for breeding.

Over the years, he has developed his own champion bloodlines and has established his reputation in this business.

Competition is keen, to stay ahead Mr.Chen acquire stock fish from Thailand, Vietnam and Burma, they are all champion fishes in their respective countries' arenas.These countries' fishes are of superior quality and have better physical characteristics then the average Malaysian bloodlines.
